Though it's only May, one local organization is looking to get a jump on back-to-school supplies.
Healing of the Seven Generations is looking to collect back-to-school donations from the following list:
- Backpacks
- Lunch bags
- Water bottles
- Combination locks
- Pens, pencils, markers
- Binders, notepads, paper
- Gift cards
They also accept donations via e-transfer, cash or cheque at their Frederick Street location in Kitchener.
Donations go to their annual backpack program, and backpacks filled with supplies are given to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students in need, in Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
