Gift of Lights starts Friday at Bingemans

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A holiday tradition returns to Bingemans in Kitchener.

The third annual Gift of Lights runs from Friday, November 16 to Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Bingemans says they have added a second tunnel of lights.

Visitors drive their vehicles through a two-kilometre stretch of the campground that has lights all the way through.

“The light tunnel has been incredibly well received over the first two years we have showcased Gift of Lights,”  President of Bingemans, Mark Bingeman, said in a release.

“We wanted to give our guests something even more special this season, so we've added the static tunnel from our first year and the animated tunnel from last year. We can't wait to see the reactions of people driving through.” he added.

Visitors can also listen to traditional Christmas tunes on their way through by tuning into 100.1 FM.

A walk-only night will be held on Sunday, December 2 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Half of the proceeds from ticket sales that evening will go to the Grand River Hospital Foundation.

Schedule and pricing information can be found here.
