An additional $1.49 million has been announced for Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

The announcement was made Friday by Cambridge MPP Belinda Karahalios.

"Our government is supporting local hospitals by ensuring they have the resources they need to meet the growing needs of our community," said Karahalios. "This new investment in Cambridge Memorial Hospital is another example of how Ontario is supporting high-quality and timely access to health care, while delivering on our commitment to end hallway health care."

Across the province, the Ford government is investing an additional $68 million in small and medium sized hospitals.

That works out to a one to 1.5 per cent increase for almost 90 hospitals, targeting those with unique situations and historical funding challenges.
