Bus stops at ION stations to begin using name of station

By Leah Johansen

Grand River Transit says it will now begin using the name of ION stations that serve as a stop on bus routes.

The name change rolled out Monday, October 22, 2018.

GRT says the name change comes as they prepare for ION service, and to create consistency across the transit network.

The new names will be used for announcements, on-board displays, and in GRT's trip planning tools.

GRT says stop numbers will not be affected.
