Annual ToastyToes fundraiser launches in Waterloo Region

An annual fundraiser gets underway in Waterloo Region this long weekend.

The 2021 ToastyToes Waterloo Region campaign runs from October 10 to December 10. 

In a release, Sharon-Gilroy Dreher said, "Socks are the most requested item in shelters across the region. Never underestimate the difference you can make with a pair of warm, dry socks."

All of the money raised through the campaign will help purchase new socks for those in-need. 

Last year, the campaign raised $55,000. 

Monetary donations can be made on the Kitchener Waterloo Community Fund's website or by visiting a participating business.
