The countdown is on until municipal election day, but you won't have to wait until October 24 to cast your ballot.

The City of Cambridge will be holding its first advanced polls on Thursday and Friday at the Forward Baptist Church on Franklin Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The city will also open online voting on Friday and it will remain available until October 24 at 7:59 p.m.

In Waterloo, the first advanced poll will be held on Saturday at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kitchener's first advanced voting opportunity is next Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at several community centres in the city.

Residents in our local townships will also soon be able to get a head start on voting.

North Dumfries will open online voting starting next Tuesday, and both internet and phone voting will be available in Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich as of next Friday.
