Candidate questioning results of recent Regional Chair survey

Jan d'Ailly, candidate for Waterloo Region Chair says he is concerned with the results of a recent survey that says Karen Redman is pulling ahead in the race.
“There is little correlation between the how my name in pronounced and how it is written,” says Jan d'Ailly in an email statement to 570 NEWS. “Whenever I call someone for the first time, I always have repeat it, and/or provide context before they associate my name with me.”
He says there would be no opportunity for association to happen with the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) polling method.
The survey, conducted October 16 and 17 shows 67% of respondents said they preferred Redman for the role of Regional Chair, 18% preferred Rob Deutschmann, 9% preferred Jay Aissa, and 7% preferred d'Ailly.
The survey notes 37% of respondents remain undecided.
