It's been quite the month of February for Reid Valade.

Win or lose, he's continuing to pile up the stats, and he continued that run with two goals in what was a Kitchener Rangers road loss, 6-5 loss to the Windsor Spitfires Thursday night.

Valade has 14 points in 10 games this month, including five points in his last two games.

His two goals Thursday --- including a shorthanded marker 31 seconds into the second --- helped the Rangers establish a 4-2 lead.

But that lead in the middle frame quickly evaporated, thanks to two Windsor goals 24 seconds apart, tying the game at four heading into the third.

James Jodoin provided the proverbial dagger with two goals of his own, extending the lead.

Mike Petizian cut the Windsor lead to one with under a minute to play, but that's as close as Kitchener would get.

Pavel Cajan made 25 saves in the loss, while Waterloo's Matt Onuska stopped 21 of 26 shots for the win.

Kitchener doesn't have time to dwell, with a Friday night meeting with the Owen Sound Attack at the Aud.

The pregame starts at 7 p.m. on CityNews 570.
