Pair of Rangers' drafted into the NHL on Wednesday (update)

Donovan Sebrango was selected by the Red Wings, Declan McDonnell went to the Lightning

Kitchener Rangers blueliner Donovan Sebrango has been drafted by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings.

He was selected in the third round, 63rd overall, on Wednesday afternoon.

Sebrango had 30 points in 56 games this past season.

He was a second round pick of the Rangers back in 2018.

Sebrango wasn't the only Kitchener player drafted into the National Hockey League on Wednesday.

With the last pick in the seventh round, the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning selected winger Declan McDonnell.

He potted 21 goals and added 21 assists this past season.

Ville Ottavainen and Reid Valade were also rated by NHL Central Scouting, but passed over in the draft.
