Overall, it was a pretty good weekend for the Kitchener Rangers, as the team picked up four of a possible six points.
Kitchener's weekend ended with a 3-1 loss to Flint at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Firebirds opened the scoring in the second period with back to back goals. Reid Valade then scored his 24th of the season to get the Rangers within one, with nine seconds to go in the second.
But Gavin Hayes would score his second of the game about midway through the third period to give Flint the win.
The Firebirds ended up outshooting the Rangers 43-25. Kitchener also with the man advantage, going 0 for 6 on the power play.
Kitchener started the weekend with a 5-4 victory in Guelph on Friday, then picked up a 4-3 overtime win against the Knights in London on Saturday afternoon.
The Rangers currently sit seventh in the Western Conference -- three points up on the Sarnia Sting.
