The Kitchener Rangers have signed their third round pick from this year's draft.
Forward Justin Bottineau was selected 56th overall.
The Burlington product put up 42 points in 37 games this past season with the Toronto Marlboros AAA minor hockey team of the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
“Growing up, you look up to the guys in the OHL,” Bottineau said in a news release. “Being from Burlington, and then seeing it was Kitchener that picked my name, was really exciting for my family and I. I’ve heard great things about the coaching staff and I’m looking forward to putting the work in to earn a spot on the team.”
Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie added that Bottineau has a nice blend of skill and work ethic, describing him as a "heart-and-soul" type of player.
