The Kitchener Rangers have signed their second round draft pick from two years ago.

Defenceman Roman Schmidt was taken 36th overall in the 2019 draft.

"We feel he will be a huge part of our team moving forward and we are excited to get to know him and get working with him when we are back at the Aud in the fall." said Rangers general manager Mike McKenzie, who welcomed Schmidt and his family to the organization.

Schmidt, who's from Michigan, is listed at 6'6" and 209 pounds.
