Rangers' Serpa named OHL player of the week

He led the league with nine points over four playoff games

Kitchener Rangers forward Joseph Serpa has been named OHL player of the week.

The 20-year-old led the league with nine points over four playoff games.

Serpa had a three point night in game seven against the London Knights.

He then had a goal and two assists in Kitchener's Game 1 loss to Windsor. He also had a goal and a helper in Game 2 on Sunday.

Serpa becomes the first Ranger to earn player of the week honours since Greg Meireles in March 2019.

Kitchener's second round series with Windsor is tied 1-1. You can listen to Game 3 on CityNews 570 at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
