The Kitchener Rangers dropped to 0-3 to begin their season following a 5-3 loss to the Ottawa 67's on Friday night in Ottawa.
The 67's scored two goals in the 1st period to take the early lead. The Rangers responded by scoring two goals in the first 22 seconds of the 2nd period to tie the game.
However, Ottawa's Brady Stonehouse scored his second goal of the game just before the eight minute mark of the period as the 67's regained the lead.
They would lead for the rest of the game on their way to the victory.
Francesco Pinelli scored two goals for the Rangers, and his younger brother Luca had two assists for the 67's.
Kitchener native, Matthew Sop added two assists for the Rangers.
The Rangers will attempt to win for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon, when they face the Kingston Frontenacs in Kingston.
