Kitchener Rangers captain Francesco Pinelli has been named player of the month for December by the Ontario Hockey League.
The Los Angeles Kings prospect had eight goals and 13 assists in nine games, along with a plus/minus rating of plus-12.
In six of the nine games, he put up multiple points. Pinelli posted a career-high five points with a goal and four assists in a home win over the Greyhounds on December 16.
The 19-year-old currently leads Kitchener in scoring with 43 points in 27 games. He's also fourth in the league in the points-per-game category.
Pinelli becomes the first Rangers player to win the honour since Greg Meireles back in March of 2019.
