Some size and skill for the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL’s under 18 draft.
The blueshirts took centre Mitchell Ferras in the first round (12th overall), a Brantford native who was with the Brantford 99ers U18 AAA team last season.
In the second round (29th overall), the Rangers selected Blake Power, a six-foot-four defenseman from the Oakville Rangers program.
There were also some players from local teams selected.
Peterborough took centre Jaden Reyers from the Kitchener Jr. Rangers U18 AAA at 28th overall, while the Owen Sound Attack went with defenseman Ty Higgins of the Waterloo Wolves U18 AAA program at 30th overall.
