UW provides update on return to in-person learning

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The University of Waterloo returned to in-person learning on Monday, with the university releasing an update Tuesday, on some safety measures it's taking.

That includes ordering more than 300 HEPA filter units. UW plans to distribute the units across campus as they start to arrive.

Free face coverings are being provided to staff performing essential in-person work.

Wastewater testing in some residences on campus will also continue until March 31.

As well, UW points out more than 99 per cent of those who live and/or work at the university are fully vaccinated.

Most courses will be delivered in-person, however, some larger lectures will be done remotely.
