Province reports 20 new COVID-related deaths Thursday

By Canadian Press

Ontario is reporting 1,207 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 168 in I-C-Us.

The province is also logging 20 new virus-related deaths.

There are 1,565 new infections of the virus reported today, although P-C-R testing is limited to certain groups.

The scientific director of Ontario's panel of COVID-19 advisers has said multiplying the daily case count by 10 would give a more accurate picture.

The next update from Region of Waterloo Public Health will come on Friday afternoon. Starting this week, the local health department switched to only reporting COVID data on Tuesdays and Fridays.
