St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener is dealing with a new COVID-19 outbreak.
It's impacting the 400 Medicine Unit. The hospital says four staff and two patients are currently associated with the outbreak.
An investigation revealed the start of the outbreak as January 10. It's expected to continue until Jan. 24.
The hospital is taking a number of measures, including rapid antigen testing for staff prior to the start of their shifts until Jan 24.
Staff will also remain dedicated to the unit.
Care partner visits are temporarily suspended in the unit as well, except in exceptional circumstances.
