COVID protest at Grand River Hospital draws dozens

Dozens of people took to the sidewalk near Grand River Hospital for another protest against vaccine mandates.
There were roughly 50 to 70 people sporting signs Wednesday night, encouraging drivers passing by to honk their horns.
It comes as over 200 workers were placed on unpaid leave from GRH, St. Mary's General Hospital and Cambridge Memorial Hospital for not complying with a mandatory vaccine mandate.
Regional council passed a motion earlier this week to write a letter to the provincial government, calling on them to ban COVID-19 and vaccine-related protests near hospitals and schools.
This echoes similar calls that have been coming from opposition parties in recent weeks.
