Conestoga College to pause mask, proof of vaccination requirements on July 1

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

As of Friday, July 1, Conestoga College will pause its masking and proof of vaccination requirements.

However, President John Tibbits noted in a statement, released Thursday, the policies may be re-implemented in the future, based on COVID-19 trends.

Even though the requirements are ending for the time being for campus buildings and facilities, the college does point out there may be proof of vaccination requirements to participate in certain work-integrated learning activities, such as placements and co-ops.

The University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University had previously announced they are dropping their mask mandates at the end of Thursday, June 30.
