City of Waterloo extending tax relief measures into the fall

By Lisa Drew

Waterloo City Council will keep lending a hand during this pandemic.

The city is extending some tax relief measures into early fall.

This includes some breaks on Uptown monthly parking permits with discounts into September.

Full details can be found on the city's website

The city says in a release it is expecting to lose close to $5.3 million in tax-based revenue between March and the end of July, but adds some cost-cutting plans will cut that deficit to $2.6 million.
