Bingemans setting up drive thru for trick-or-treaters

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

While a traditional Halloween has been discouraged by public health officials, Bingemans has stepped up to make sure kids don't miss out on collecting some treats.

It will be setting up a Trick or Treat Drive Thru on October 31, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The entrance will be via the Bingemans Camping Entrance on Bingemans Centre Drive.

Parents are being encouraged to dress their kids up, then drive through the marked Trick or Treat course through the campgrounds.

Staff and volunteers, who will be wearing masks and gloves, will fill up the loot bags the children bring.

“It is fantastic that we can offer the continued tradition of Trick or Treating in this unique Covid environment in a safe and fun manner. It would have been a shame for kids to miss this tradition, especially when we have the ingenuity to create a safe, alternative solution.” said Mark Bingeman, President of Bingemans. “This could not have happened without the incredible commitment to our Community that our many sponsors and supporters have provided to truly make this happen.”

The event is free, but you need to register at www.bingemans.com – just click on the Trick or Treat Drive Thru button.

Any companies or individuals who want to support the initiative can email sales@bingemans.com.
