Liberal incumbent Bardish Chagger will once again represent the riding of Waterloo.

It will be her third term. She was first elected in 2015.

As of Tuesday morning, Chagger had 24,802 votes or 44.5 per cent, with 211 of 212 polls reporting.

Chagger says it has been an honour to represent the people of Waterloo for the past six years.

"I have worked hard for Waterloo because I know how hard each and everyone of you work to make this community greater, and this nation greater. And that's why as much as the world needs more Canada, Canada needs more Waterloo. The progress we have made, we have made together. And we will move forward for everyone, together."

Conservative candidate Meghan Shannon is second with 15,703 votes or 28.2 per cent.

Jonathan Cassels, of the NDP, has 10,589 votes or 19 per cent.
