Carl Lam

Carl Lam is a meteorologist for NewsRadio and has been part of the team since August 2018. You can most often hear him on weekend mornings tracking the conditions across Toronto. He grew up with a fascination with numbers and weather forecasts were the perfect to see numbers brought to life. Having grown up in an area that's consistently battered by lake effect snow, it was a logical choice to pursue meteorology as a career. He also is the midday meteorologist with our sister station, 1130 NewsRadio, in Vancouver and also provides forecasts on weekend mornings for our other sister station, 570 NewsRadio in Kitchener. Carl holds the Endorsed Weathercaster designation from the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society. As a dedicated lifelong learner, he holds four master's degrees in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Music Performance, and Higher Education Administration. He earned his bachelor's degrees in Music, Journalism, and Audio/Radio Production and has a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
