Warrant turns up gun, plastic firearms made with 3D printer

Stratford man, 23, charged with weapons and firearms offences

Police have charged a Stratford man after finding a handgun and ammunition, as well as plastic firearms during a search of a home.

On Nov. 21, the Stratford Police Service conducted a search warrant at a Stratford residence.

The warrant was in relation to weapons and firearms, police said in a news release.

Police said several items were seized, including a handgun and ammunition. Also located were several plastic firearms and plastic parts for firearms made using a 3D printer.

A 23-year-old Stratford male was arrested and charged with weapons and firearm offences.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
