Environment Canada has lifted a tornado warning for the most southwestern parts of the province.

The alert was issued Sunday morning after a funnel cloud was spotted near the 401 just after 11:30 a.m.

The national weather agency says it received reports of the funnel cloud in Chatham near Victoria Road, as it was moving with a thunderstorm towards West Lorne.

The warning was issued for the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent areas as a result.
