‘Ruff’ dispute between neighbours

By Mark Pare

File this one under the odd calls police get on any particular day.

Norfolk County OPP were called to a home on Grove Street in Simcoe Saturday at around 7:55 a.m. in regards to a neighbour dispute.

They say between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, one man went to his neighbours house and began barking and howling like a dog.

“It was determined that the 41-year-old male was tired of hearing his neighbours dogs barking at all hours of the day and night,” police say, “And decided to wake his neighbour up by continually barking like a dog outside the window of the residence, causing the dogs inside to bark excessively.”

Police say they spoke with two men involved in the incident, and mediated a resolution.

They were also cautioned about the local noise by-law.

This particular 'dog' won't need to have his day in court, as it doesn't appear charges will be laid.
