Provincial police say a man, 34, from Palmerston, has been charged with sexual assault related to allegations involving a child.
They say the alleged abuse was reported on June 19, and the alleged incidents occurred ``over a period of time.''
Investigators say the man was ``not a stranger to the family.''
They say the man was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation to a person under the age of 16.
He is scheduled to appear in court next month.
