Man sets a grass fire in Ingersoll, then starts playing a recorder: OPP

By Mark Douglas

The OPP report a bizarre arson investigation in Ingersoll, involving a suspect, his dog — and a musical instrument.

On Saturday night, witnesses reported seeing a man near a parking lot at King Street East and Water Street deliberately set a grassy area on fire.

They say the man in his 30's stuck around, and started playing a recorder.

Then he tried to light the grass on fire again.

The Ingersoll Fire Service had to be called out.

The OPP say the man was walking a small white dog at the time, and he may have been with a female, according to witnesses.

Police say the suspect is about 30-years old, 5-foot 8-inches tall, with a thin build, and short dark hair.

At the time he was wearing a dark t-shirt, with blue and white plaid shorts.
