The Plattsville and Wilmot communities are mourning the loss of a husband and father of four.

A Go-Fund-Me campaign has been made for Kevin Thompson, who tragically died in a car crash on Monday afternoon

MeMe's Café and Food Shop in New Hamburg tweeting out, their former employee Anna Cressman-Thompson is now a single mother of three kids, ages 10, 8, and 6.

Megan Dell, the organizer of the Go-Fund-Me page, says Kevin and Anna are a large part of the community through Plattsville Public School, The Newfoundland Club, volunteering at the Mennonite Relief and working at the New Hamburg Fall Fair.

The page has a goal of raising $20,000, to help with burial costs, groceries, living expenses and loss of a second income.

Dell writes on the page, "Knowing Kevin and Anna are very close to the heart of many great friends and family we know that everyone wants to help Anna. Kevin would be so proud to hear the support and love everyone is showing to those who meant the very most to him, his family."
