Young girl followed by suspicious man in Kitchener, police investigating

Waterloo regional police are looking into a suspicious interaction in Kitchener that allegedly saw a young girl followed by an unknown man.

The incident was reported around 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 4 in the Bechtel Drive and Doon Village Road area.

According to police, the female youth was walking in that neighbourhood when she was followed by a stranger, who tried to talk to her.

She was able to get away unharmed. The Special Victims Unit is investigating.

The suspicious person is described as being a brown male, approximately 40 years old, with an average height. He was wearing a blue puffy hooded jacket and grey pants.
