Two children hurt after corrosive substance put on toilets in Baden area park

Waterloo Regional Police say two children were hurt after someone intentionally put a corrosive substance on toilet seats in a park in Baden.

Investigators were called out, Tuesday, to Sir Adam Beck Community Park, at 215 Snyder’s Road East.

Police do not specify what the substance was, but they believe it was put on the seats on purpose and that it may have come from batteries.

Two individuals who used the washrooms between May 6 and May 8 sustained physical injuries. Police confirmed to CityNews 570 the victim were a six-year-old and a three-year-old.
