Driver hits police cruisers, hydro poles with farm equipment: OPP

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 59-year-old from Arthur after reports of a disturbance at a home in that community.
On Thursday evening, OPP officers were met by a person operating some farm equipment who then drove the farm implement towards them.
The driver reportedly hit three police cruisers, and multiple hydro poles before coming to a stop.
Police said damage was significant and the individual appeared to be impaired. Fortunately no one was hurt.
The accused is facing a long list of charges including five counts of assault with a weapon.
The charges also included two counts of domestic mischief.
“The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s),” read a release from police.
A total of 21 charges were laid.
