Police believe there may be more victims in child exploitation investigation

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) has laid additional charges in a child exploitation investigation and believes there may be additional victims.
The service shared a photo of 24-year-old Benjamin Haden, who was first arrested in March 2026 following search warrants in Waterloo and Georgetown.
At the time, Haden resided in Waterloo and was charged with six offences, including two counts of child luring and one count of making child sexual assault and exploitation material.
Through an ongoing investigation involving the Thunder Bay Police Service and Halton Regional Police Service, 13 additional charges were laid against Haden on July 13.
Waterloo regional police are concerned there may be more child and adult victims related to the investigation.
Haden used several names and aliases to communicate with victims, police said.
The names were Ben, Benji, Harold, Jacob, Bradley, Brett, Emma, Katie; while the usernames were Haroldkumar2321, Haroldkumar1120, Haroldkumar1121, bradley232114.
“He frequently contacted the same individuals using different names and often initiated conversations by falsely claiming to have found the person’s phone number written in a public location,” reads a release from WRPS. “In some instances, he also offered vape pods, alcohol, or drugs in exchange for sexual services.”
Police said Haden now lives in Halton Hills and as their investigation continues, they’re asking anyone with further information on the case to call 519-570-9777, ext. 8397 or 8264.
