SIU to investigate after 58-year-old Guelph fell from his apartment

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called upon to look into an incident in Guelph that led to the death of a 58-year-old man.
The incident happened on Sunday around 9 a.m. at an apartment in the area of London Street West and Bagot Street.
Police were called to the apartment multiple times due to the behaviour of the man inside. When officers arrived, they breached the door and had a conversation with the man.
Shortly after, the man retreated from police and fell to the ground below his apartment.
He was transported to hospital but later pronounced dead.
