Equestrian equipment, paint supplies stolen from storage unit

Waterloo regional police are looking for suspects and potentially more victims after a Kitchener storage unit break-in.

Between May 19 and 20, police believe someone cut through the main gate lock of a secured storage yard in the Riverbend Drive and Wellington Street North area, right by the expressway.

Police say two storage units were broken into, with several items stolen, including electronics, clothing, tools, and personal items.

Equestrian equipment, painting supplies and a dog crate have since been recovered by police, and they are looking to get those items back to their rightful owners.

“Police believe some of the recovered items may belong to additional victims who have not yet been identified,” reads a release from police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

No suspect descriptions have been released at this time.
