Motorcyclist charged after fatal pedestrian crash in Wilmot

A motorcyclist has been charged after a fatal pedestrian crash in Wilmot this past fall.

The collision occurred on the afternoon of Oct. 25 on Wilmot Centre Road, near Bleams Road.

Police said a pedestrian, a 66-year-old Wilmot man, was struck by a motorcycle. He was transported to hospital and pronounced dead.

On March 2, traffic investigators charged the involved driver with careless driving causing death.

The 34-year-old man will appear in court March 30.
