Rangers host Spitfires in clash at the top of the Western Conference

The Kitchener Rangers are back in action on Friday night at The Aud with an important contest against the Windsor Spitfires.

The Blueshirts and Spitfires are separated by only one point at the top of the Western Conference standings, with the Rangers holding the top spot heading into Friday’s action.

The Rangers picked up five of a possible six points on their Eastern Conference road trip, closing it out with a hard-fought shootout loss to the Peterborough Petes on Family Day.

So far this season, the Rangers have defeated the Spitfires twice in two meetings, with the latest coming back in January at The Aud when the Rangers ran out 7-2 winners.

After Friday, the Rangers head south of the border to face the Western Conference’s last-placed team, the Erie Otters, on Saturday.
