Teen arrested after robbing pizza delivery driver with a handgun

Regional police have arrested a 17-year-old after a pizza delivery turned into a gunpoint robbery in Waterloo in December.

According to Waterloo regional police, the incident happened on Dec. 6 at a residential building on Parkside Drive.

The victim was delivering a pizza to the building when the suspect took out a handgun and demanded the delivery driver’s keys.

The suspect then fled the scene in the driver’s vehicle down Bearinger Road.

On Wednesday, the teenager was located and arrested by police. He was charged with a long list of offences, including two counts of robbery with a firearm and three counts of break-and-enter.

The teenager remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
