They say all good things come to an end, and that’s sadly true for the point streak the Rangers have been on.
Facing off against the Niagara Ice Dogs last night at Meridian Centre the Rangers opened strong, with Jack Pridham getting two goals and the lead for the blueshirts 2-1 headed into the second. This puts Pridham one off the OHL scoring lead.
The second period wasn’t as kind to the East Avenue Blues, with a lone goal from Dylan Edwards and two more for the Ice Dogs.
And the third would see one goal scored with less than three minutes in play for Niagara, beating the Rangers 4-3.
The loss marks their first regulation loss in 2026 for the Rangers and broke their point streak. Niagara’s goalie Vladislav Yermolenko was a key part of the Rangers loss, stopping twenty-eight of thirty one shots.
The Rangers will get two days off to recover before they get back on the ice to take on the London Knights at The Aud.
