Kitchener Rangers win streak ends at 8 after OT loss to Owen Sound

Your Kitchener Rangers fell short in a midweek match-up against their Midwest Division rivals up in Owen Sound.

The Rangers’ win streak came to an end at eight games after a 3-2 loss in overtime against the Attack on a snowy Wednesday night.

The Rangers will have an opportunity to right the ship on Friday night when they play host to the Windsor Spitfires.

Heading into Friday’s match, the Rangers lead the Western Conference with 67 points, while the Spitfires sit in third with 66.

The Rangers jumped out to a 2-0 lead through two periods with goals from forward Jack Pridham and captain Cameron Reid.

However, the Attack stormed back and earned their first win on home ice in more than a month, sending the home crowd to their feet.

Those sides are split by the second-place Flint Firebirds, who also have 66 points.
