Streaking Rangers prepare to face weary Sting at The Aud

The Kitchener Rangers are looking for their eighth win in a row in a midweek match-up at The Aud against a team struggling in the basement of the Western Conference.

The Sarnia Sting are in town looking to break a four game losing streak as the team continues to struggle throughout the rebuild process.

This is the second game between these sides this season, with the Rangers coming out on top in a 5-2 win in their first meeting in December.

Sarnia lost a pair of important players in the leadup to the trade deadline, and their leading scorer is rookie Easton Walos with 35 points in 45 games this year.

The Rangers, on the other hand, have plenty of firepower up front. Forward Jack Pridham has 31 goals on the season, just three back of the league lead, and his linemate Christian Humphreys has 40 assists, one behind the league leader in that category.

It’s a busy week for the Rangers who head to Owen Sound to face the Attack on Wednesday before closing out January with a home game against the Windsor Spitfires on Friday.

You can hear all the action on 570 NewsRadio with Mike Farwell and Josh Piercey. The pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m.
