Arrest made after targeted assault at Cambridge hotel

Waterloo regional police have made an arrest after a targeted assault at a Cambridge hotel.

Officers were called to a hotel in the Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road area around 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 6 due to reports of an altercation involving a man and two women.

Police said there was a dispute and the male suspect allegedly assaulted the two females with an edged weapon.

The women were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police called it a targeted attack.

On Jan. 16, police arrested a 30-year-old Waterloo man.

He has been charged with multiple offences including robbery and aggravated assault.
