Police charge three men linked to multiple thefts across southern Ontario

A total of five break-and-enters occurred in Waterloo Region. Through collaborations with other law enforcement, WRPS were able to link the Kitchener thefts with similar incidents in Niagara, Hamilton, Guelph and London.

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) have arrested three men in connection with break-and-enters in a number of communities in southern Ontario.

The investigation began after several break-and-enters at vape stores in Kitchener in October 2025.

Through collaborations with other law enforcement, WRPS were able to link the Kitchener thefts with similar incidents in Niagara, Hamilton, Guelph and London.

A total of five break-and-enters occurred in Waterloo Region.

On Jan. 5, WRPS officers executed search warrants at storage unit and a home in Brampton. One suspect was arrested, and stolen property was recovered. Later that same day, Peel Regional Police arrested a second suspect and seized a vehicle that was packed full of suspected stolen merchandise.

On Jan. 9, Guelph police arrested a third suspect in a stolen vehicle.

A 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Brampton, have been charged with multiple counts of break and enter, possession of stolen property over $5,000, disguise with intent, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and failing to comply with release orders.

A 32-year-old Brampton man was charged with break-and-enter, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

More charges are anticipated from other jurisdiction’s on-going investigations.
