Cambridge pedestrian sent to hospital after being hit by vehicle

A Cambridge man was sent to hospital after he was hit by a vehicle at one of the busiest roundabouts in the city

Officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service were called out to Franklin Boulevard and Dundas Street South just before 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a vehicle struck a 49-year-old man, who was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 31-year-old driver from Burlington was not hurt, the release reads.

Franklin between Dundas and Main streets was closed for several hours for the police investigation.

Officials have said nothing yet about possible charges.

For now, they’re still investigating, and asking witnesses to come forward.
