Being in the house may have stopped one homeowner from being robbed.
That’s according to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), which said a home in the west end of Cambridge was broken into on Monday morning, around 11 a.m.
There was someone home at the time, which led to the two suspects driving away.
It all went down in the Salisbury Avenue and Freure Drive area of the city, in West Galt.
Police are hoping to find those two suspects and are asking those living in the area to check their home security cameras between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 8.
Any suspicious activity can be sent to the Waterloo Regional Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
In the meantime, police are reminding residents to keep windows and doors locked even when at home, keep valuables out of plain sight and install alarm and security camera systems.
