Shovels in the ground for $50M Waterloo business park

A new industrial space under construction in Waterloo is set to bring more jobs and business to the region.

The official groundbreaking of the $50 million Waterloo North Business Park took place on Wednesday.

The two buildings on 325 Northfield Dr. E., by University Avenue East, will span over 240,000 square feet.

It’s a joint development between Waterloo-based Perimeter Development Group Inc. and Skyline Group of Companies based in Guelph, with a focus on net-zero-ready, small to mid-bay industrial space.

“The City of Waterloo is ecstatic to see much-needed new industrial development in Waterloo,” said Mayor Dorothy McCabe.

“Waterloo is home to many industry-leading companies. We’re a strong, supportive place for businesses to grow and succeed. The new space at the Waterloo North Business Park will support continued growth and help create new job opportunities in our community.”

Businesses can expect to move into the new space by the end of 2026.
