A community drug alert has been issued across the region after three suspected drug-related deaths.
It was issued after the Sanguen Health Centre noted that stronger traces of fentanyl were found in the drug supply connected to the three deaths.
Each of those deaths occurred within a span of three days from each other, between Nov. 10 and 12.
The Sanguen Health Centre added that yellow and orange drugs have been identified as having stronger levels of fentanyl.
The health centre advises minimizing the risks of drug use by never using alone and making sure at least one sober person remains nearby. If an individual becomes unresponsive, be sure to call 9-1-1.
If you do plan on using alone, you can call or text the National Overdose Response Service (NORS) Hotline at 1-888-688-NORS(6677), for confidential support.
