Early morning Kitchener stabbing puts man in hospital

Police are looking for a suspect after an early-morning stabbing in Kitchener put a man in hospital.

Waterloo regional police said it happened soon after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, around Joseph Street and Ontario Street South.

Police said a 31-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, this was a targeted incident.

There was no immediate suspect description from police at this time.
